The fan brush works …
The fan brush works ideally for this waterfall technique, but you can also use a stiff bristle flat brush. Coarse bristles are the key. Also, when painting the rushing water of the falls, use just the ends of the bristles straight into the canvas. Do not angle the brush handle downward or lay the brush flat.

What I use is a …
What I use is a small plastic pail with a “cleaning screen” in the bottom. These types of item are available at most art/craft stores. The can is filled to a level of about one inch above the top surface of the screen with odorles mineral spirits. ( paint thinner )
You simply scrub your brush against the grid to loosen the paint, which will eventually settle through the screen to the pail bottom.
Then wipe the brush dry with a paper towel.

Though I’ve never …
Though I’ve never used latex paint for my work, I’ve seen other artists use it for large wall murals. I would recommend “Artist” paint, however. Get a “student grade” which is much more inexpensive. Perhaps you be interested in my full-length Dvd’s. You’ll find info regarding them on my website.

i’ve been watching your videos about painting and i love it, its just awesome.. your painting encourages me to try it.. i appreciate art now and im interested about doing it, can you teach me how? as a beginner.. can latex paint work on paintings?
